“The ultimate goal of farming is not the growing of crops, but the cultivation and perfection of human beings.” The ‘Uttoran III’ project similarly focuses on a way of organic family farming that the farmers must practice where they not only grow crops to earn daily bread but that which brings positivity in the lives of people. Krishnagar Cathedral Charitable Social Society (KCCSS) has undertaken the task of convincing the marginalized farmers to practice healthy organic cultivation and bringing up their livelihood by reaching them with different Government aid and adding value in their life. 14 villages of three Gram Panchayats of Nakashipara block in Nadia District in Westbengal and 11 villages of other three Gram Panchayats of Sagardighi Block in Murshidabad district in Westbengal are under the surveillance of the KCCSS Uttoran III staff to foster and secure Self-sustaining climate Resilient Cum Adaptive Agriculture and Livelihood through community owned process. These 25 villages accommodate 745 Households and a total number of 3029 population under this Project. Through the implementation of the different project activities the people are now aware that soil is the great connector of lives.
