The current outbreak of corona virus disease (COVID-19) has been declared as a pandemic due to the alarming levels of spread and severity. Till date, there is no specific medicine to treat or prevent COVID-19. Government of India is taking all necessary steps to ensure that we are prepared well to face the challenge and threat posed by the growing pandemic of COVID 19 – the Corona Virus.
However there is panic and fears among the people as the nation is lockdown. These preventive measures also affected the normalcy of livelihood of the people namely the poor, migrant and daily laborers, Toto drivers (Rickshaw pullers), bricklin workers, construction workers, and flower suppliers, Hawkers, stranded migrant workers etc of Nadia and Murshidabad districts. They are all clueless and suffering without food and basic essential goods for their living. The whole families starve due to lack of food as they were not able to go for their work to earn.
Need for Intervention by KCCSS:-
